FIM MotoGP™ World Championship Trophy

The Trophy documents the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship's illustrious history, whilst identifying with the vibrant image of the modern day series. A carbon fiber base supports a "Champions Tower" of silver plaques for each of the 70 winners of the past seasons in the oldest World Championship in motorsports.

The Trophy expresses the MotoGP™ values of innovation, youth, dynamism, excitement, technology, passion and heritage.

Each year the newly crowned MotoGP™ World Champion adds the current plaque bearing his name at the FIM MotoGP™ Awards Ceremony, and takes home a smaller replica of the Trophy.

The Trophy is designed to be an emblem of the MotoGP™ World Championship for years to come, and as such space has been dedicated for each future FIM MotoGP™ World Champion to leave their mark.

"The trophy project for the MotoGP™ World Championship is unique and was a challenge for me because of its symbolism. Not only did need to have a visual impact, but it also had to represent the values of the oldest motorcycle championship in the world.

Making this trophy, I was inspired by the Tower of Babel. The motorcycle World Championship is made up of riders from every continent and of different nationalities, brought together with a single objective: win and have their name written on the highest part of the trophy".

Marc Garcia, MotoGP™ Trophy designer
